The Long Beach Retreat is so quiet, yet only a block north of the City of Long Beach city limits. With 4+ acres of ocean front property, we accommodate up to 12 people with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, an office space, and two complete living areas--3500 sq feet of space to spread out! Both of the kitchens are well stocked so you can decide if the party gathers upstairs, where there's 2 of the 5 bedrooms and a little more living space, or downstairs if you have anyone who doesn't do stairs easily. (Where the food is, there the party will gather!) Then other space becomes the quiet oasis of the house. Or you can just use the home as two separate apartments and come with friends, so you each have your own space and you can easily glide between the spaces without going outside.

We have set this up for us and our kids and grandkids to come! Our kids have brought 3-4 families with young ones so they could visit and play games after putting the kids to bed after playing on the beach all afternoon.
We have had families celebrate 90th birthday parties and special anniversaries and just special time to spend with multiple generations. We have also hosted book club retreats and small business conferences. Groups of guys going fishing nearby or going to Rod Run together. Small youth retreats. Or just a large quiet space to reflect or work on artistic pursuits.
Erin · Dec 23, 2025 · 5 Stars - We planned a last minute family winter trip, and we were so happy to find this house for our large extended family. We absolutely loved it-very comfortable, clean, and spacious. We made great use of the large shared common spaces, including the outdoor fire pit. The provided shampoo, conditioner, soap, and laundry supplies were a wonderful added touch. We would definitely stay here again. Mahalo from Hawai’i!
Michael · Dec 5, 2025 · 5 Stars - This was a great house for several families to have a great weekend at the coast.
Tina · Aug 15, 2025 · 5 Stars - My team booked the home for a fishing trip and absolutely did not disappoint.
Shannon · Aug 12, 2025 · 5 Stars - Everything was amazingly stocked. Lots of room and tons of things the kids can do. Loved staying here and looking forward to staying again.

Edith · Jun 26, 2025 · 5 Stars - Perfect place for large family getaway. We couldn't have been happier with this property. We were particularly impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked--and that's something since one of our party is a professional chef.
Alicia · Jul 8, 2025 · 5 Stars - Wonderful place to stay! This home is essentially two homes, one on each level, but integrated with many features. There is plenty of space, laundry, kitchen supplies, sitting areas, eating areas etc. Our own family of several children and then my single in laws stayed together and we used the main upper floor for together time. Having two laundry rooms was super handy for each of us to do laundry and have quiet places to go. Loved all the toys and games and puzzles! Great communication from host when we had questions.
Madge · Jun 20, 2025 · 5 Stars - This was an excellent place for our family gathering. The beach proximity, the house spaces, the incredibly well equipped kitchen, and multiple hospitable touches all contributed to the enjoyable stay.

We have set up this retreat to work for our extended family—including young and old and those who need to work remotely while there!
We have a well-equipped kitchen: It is unlikely you would need to bring any cooking equipment. We have a mixer, blender, waffle maker, rice cooker, instant pot, lots of bakeware and pots and pans… Olive oil, spices, a few basic baking and food storage items… We have Keurig coffee makers and coffee pods for guest use on both levels.
Fire Pit: We recently purchased a high-end fire pit that has a grill on it if you want to cook over a fire. (You are welcome to any wood that is onsite, as long as you don’t cut down any trees!)
Office: We have three desk areas. Two are set up with monitors. We also have a printer you can use, a shredder and some other basic office supplies.
Special accommodations: For the very young—2 high chairs, 2 pack and plays. There’s also a baby monitor in the downstairs pantry closet…. For our elderly guests, we also have a shower seat in the lower primary bedroom closet.
Laundry: We have a large washer and dryer on each level with detergent for guest use.
For outside: There’s running hot and cold water for the hose on the north side of the house for washing sandy feet and toys off or cleaning fish—please leave no trace though! We have sand toys, beach towels, some lawn chairs… There’s a corn hole set in the outdoor storage bin on the east side of the house also.
General: There are games, puzzles, books, toys…. And a piano and music stand! (The music stand should be in the upstairs closet between the larger bathroom and the upstairs bunkroom.) We have propane fireplaces and smart TVs in both the upper and lower living areas. The upper TV has a DVD player inside the cabinet to the left of the TV.
Call or text me or our housekeeper, Julie, if you can’t find something you need.
Sincerely,
Leann (managing owner) 360 605 3835 & Julie (housekeeper and local host) 971 425 7450
- This 2-story home offers step-free entry. There is a full kitchen, living area, and bedrooms on the 1st floor
- This property features exterior security cameras around the perimeter, facing out. They do not look into any interior spaces.
- There are times during the winter months and early spring when the beach trail on-site can be underwater due to heavy rains. Guests can still easily access the beach and Discovery Trail, just a short drive/walk away (about 0.5 miles)
-Also because of our beautiful wetlands, there are some late springs when we have had mosquitos in the treed areas. We do provide natural repellant for guest use just in case you need it to get to the beach.

For the Neighbors: Please be considerate of the neighbors!
For the Septic system: Our septic is expensive and we try to take good care of it.
For the Garbage and recycling: Garbage Day is Tuesday.
Fire pit use: Follow all local burn bans and restrictions.
General Rules:
Be safe! And have good conversations.
